Congratulations to Gunfighter Lightning Cat for the overall match win!  The weather was darn near perfect for the 60 shooters who enjoyed a grand day in the mountains.  The ground was a little tacky in places, left over from the previous week's rain, but no serious mud.  We had eleven clean matches (18+%):

Desert Eagle, Rosita Gambler, Maker-Wright, Stumbleweed, Scary Indian Dude, Marshall Lomondo, Black Jack Ketchum, Windy Ike, Burgundy Ballou, Badlands Browning, and JW Cyrus.  WELL DONE, EVERYONE!   I would also like to commend Miss BJ, who ruined her "clean match" by reporting a stage DQ on herself!  THAT, mi compadres, is one of the great things about this sport: HONOR!

RESULTS and by CATEGORY.  As usual, if anyone spots any errors in the scores, please e-mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will check the scoresheets and get it corrected as soon as I sober up......

Thanks to everyone who set up and broke down, especially moving the gallows and jail, before and after!  Thanks also to Calico Cass for the data entry this morning at 05:30!  Couldn't get it done last night ~ came home to a blown fuse on the well pump and had to do the one hour round-trip to town for fuses.

Lawmen fought a gun battle with the Black Jack Ketchum gang when it attempted to rob a bank in Nogales, driving off the outlaws. One of the lawmen was Frank King, a dedicated lawman who served as a deputy sheriff in Phoenix, Arizona Territory, during the 1880s, and in Texas, New Mexico, and California in the following decade. While serving a brief term as a guard at the Yuma Prison in 1889, a massive prison break was attempted in which five prisoners were shot to death, most of them by sharpshooter King the only man in the main tower at the time. King lived into the 1920s and was considered one of the toughest lawmen of his era."
