WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!  45^o and no wind.  It was gorgeous once you got above the clouds.  But only 14 shooters braved the adverse forecast.

The first Spirit of the Game award was presented to Painted Filly for all her work over the past year, devotion to the game, and high spirits throughout any match.  She is definitely a credit to the sport!

Congratulations to Kiowa Kid for the match win and for the only clean match!  Well done, compadre! For the curious, here are the Stages.   Okay, I lied.  It was 7^o below zero when we started shooting at 10:00, and about 0^o when we finished the 6th stage.  Sometimes the wind blew and we were miserable, and sometimes it only blew a little and we were just cold.  Muchas gracias to Jamie and the M Lazy C for providing a thermos of hot coffee, cups & fixin's!

After the Match we repaired to Gideon Walker's house, north of Woodland Park to help him celebrate his 70th birthday and his first match as Elder Statesman ~ and he won his category!  Look out Rosita!  Thanks to Gideon and his lovely bride, Scary Sherry, for a fine feast, libations and welcoming us into their beautiful (WARM) home! 

TIME TO RENEW MEMBERSHIP FOR 2011:  If you print off the MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION ~ both sides ~ you can fill it out and bring it with you to your first match of the year and save time during the registration process!  Mea Culpa!  I initially had last year's application posted.  Now the 2011 App is up!
