At the October 2nd CAS match, we plan to have a SWAP MEET before the Shooters' Meeting.  Registration starts at 8:30, with Posse Sign up at the Saloon, as usual.  Then before the 9:30 Shooters' Meeting, lay out your stuff on the back of your truck or the trunk of your car and swap or sell clothes, leather, whatever - that you don't need.  We have plenty of new shooters this year that could use it!  Personally, I plan to bring two good quality holster sets - one man's one lady's - and who knows what else!  If you have some specialty items that you want to advertise before the match, send the info to me and I will post a link to a listings document.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. El Gato,

I have posted the posse pictures and some others from the dinner on the website www.picmyphotos.com   The password is “dandylion” and the event name is “Badger Mtn CAS Match”.  Individuals can click on the picture thumbnail to see a larger version and the drop down menu where they can order the pictures that they want.

I ask that the above information be posted on the website for all participants to use in looking at posse pictures.

Thanks. Texas Tumbleweed - - - - AND MUCHAS GRACIAS TO YOU, TOO, TT!

BADGER MOUNTAIN RANGE WAR RESULTS!! PDF Print E-mail

Seventy-one shooters at THE 2010 BADGER MOUNTAIN RANGE WAR  enjoyed near perfect weather: clear skies, mountain temps and usually a little breeze - except on day 2 when the Black Powder Posse shot into the Saloon.  After sign-in, posse sign-up & socializing, we started the Shooters' Meeting on time with the Pledge and the National Anthem (Thanks, Gideon!), and then scattered to our respective stages to let the fun begin.

After six stages Saturday, Tincup Al got us warmed up with some cowboy tunes in a pre-prandial concert.  Then came the Ranch's fine & generous steak dinner, followed by a visit from General George Patton (aka Gideon Walker).  It was a stunning rendition and a great speech!  Folks, there are good men and women out there doing the tough job of making sure we have the security and freedom that makes events like Cowboy Action Shooting possible.  They put their lives on the line for our Liberties; it is our equal responsibility to guard those Liberties at home, for all citizens.  General Patton strode from the stage and Tincup Al was back to lighten the atmosphere for our listening and dancing pleasure.

SEPTEMBER CAS MATCH RESULTS PDF Print E-mail

The CAS Match on Saturday, Sept. 4th, had great Colorado mountain weather.  Cool to start, warm to finish, with a nice breeze.  Most folks finished shooting by 1:00.  Thanks to Whiskey James for bringing the water jug!  Congratulations to Scary Indian Dude, el Gato Gordo, Mountain Menace, Marshall Lomondo, Gardner Kid, and El Rayo for shooting the match clean!  Especially, El Rayo, who was in the middle of shooting stage 2 when a terrific gust of wind and dust all but obscured the targets, but he didn't let it rattle him, and kept on agoin' - clean!  KIOWA KID is the overall match winner - WELL DONE!  HERE ARE THE STAGES.

Oh, you wanted to SEE the results?  And HERE they are!

We plan to have the water barrel on the Range again, but please regard it as a source for REFILLING your own water bottle.  That way we can avoid littering cups around the Range, and have to carry less water up the hill.  After all, we live in an arid climate - we all need to be responsible for our own hydration.  MUCHAS GRACIAS, AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!
