MOSTLY ALIVE: MATCH DIRECTOR NEEDED! At the end of this year it will be necessary for me to step down as Match Director for the Colorado Cowboys. It has been a very enjoyable two years! I especially want to thank everyone who turned out for Match Set Ups, especially Windy Ike, Boone, Colorado Horseshoe, Colorado Marshal, Kiowa Kid, Rosita Gambler and others. My fellow Board members have helped make 2008 & 2009 two great years for me. I intend to remain on the Board as "Secretary" to the Club, continuing to tally and post scores and to maintain the website. I will still be available to assist with matches and be a Posse Marshal. This should relieve the new Match Director(s) of some duties. MATCH DIRECTOR(S): We need one or more shooters to assume the duties of Match Director (or Co-Director). Co-Directors could swap leads from month to month depending on workloads and availability. These duties can be shared by two or more individuals: 1. Draw up scenarios for Matches 2. Direct Match Set Up: This can be done anytime from the Sunday to the Friday preceding each Match. If you let me know a week ahead, I will Post the Set Up day and time so other members can assist. This has worked very well for me. Never, ever had to do a Match Set Up alone. (Thank you!) 3. Retrieves timers and scoresheets from office and supervises Posse sign up. Assigns Posse Marshal duties. 4. Conducts a "walk through" with the Posse Marshals to explain the Stages and answer questions. 5. Makes sure the Secretary (me) receives ALL score sheets after each match. 6. Collects timers and materials crate and returns it to office after match; makes sure a volunteer puts away blankets and secures props. 7. Serves on Board of Governors, directing the activities of the the Colorado Cowboys. The Match Directors should be certified (or be willing to certify by Spring) at the RO II level. The Match Director is assisted and supported by the other members of the Board, and by the General Membership. I know I have been. The Match Director pays no fees for monthly Matches, nor for the Annual "Badger Mountain Range War."
